Nutrition Is The Key
So this is my first blog ever. I decided since every good website has a blog I may as well give it a shot. Being a fitness enthusiast and former personal trainer in and nutritionist in Calgary I feel I have lots of useful information that the types of people who visit my page would be interested in! Where to start though? If your visiting this page your obviously working out or at least planning to. Even more important though is what is your nutrition plan? Especially if you are in isolation because of the covid-19 crises, your daily calorie expenditure is going to be minimal! Meaning every calorie that you do consume should be high quality and the types of calories that your body can use efficiently. Another important aspect of your calorie intake is where are your calories coming from as far as fats, proteins, and carbohydrates. A good ratio is key when it comes to maintaining or enhancing your physique or working on fitness goals. For example if 90% of the calories you eat come from carbs, 5% come from fats, and 5% come from proteins you will most likely not be succeeding in your goals. So what ratio should you be following? It varies from person to person depending on your body type and specific goals. But a one size fits all ratio would be something like 60% protein, 25% carbs and 15% fat. If you currently are unsure what to do as far as diet, or are not following a plan at all you are guaranteed to see results if you follow that. I know this leaves lots of questions like how do I figure out the numbers, and how many calories total should I be eating. You will just have to stay tuned to my blog to find out!!!
